Hello World!

I have never been so excited to write something that potentially no one might read :).

Ok ok , I will get my entire family and friend list to read it first; perhaps bribe a few of them. If however, you miraculously find yourself reading this… well, Hello and Welcome to my blog.

My name is Tania, I’m an IT Entrepreneur originally from the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). I moved to South Africa over 14 years ago but quite honestly, I consider myself to be something of a global citizen.

Kongo Travels is a blog that chronicles the trips and adventures of a young African traveler. It’s simply my attempt at relating the joys, the fun and headaches of travelling with a “3rd World” passport. So here’s my open invitation to you all to discover the world with me and to share your own experiences, which I simply cannot wait to hear about.

Here’s to life, travel, good food, lots of pictures, music and everything in between!

  • Hello Tania,
Wonderful initiative, I love the idea. I have seen other travel blogs in the past, but none of them adequately relate some of the realities and joys that traveling with the blue Congolese passport brings.
Keep writing and sharing your experiences, we will keep reading with interest and commenting when needed.
